my mom has a 95 ford escort wagon and the problem is when you add weight to the car {after the driver} the rear pass. strut is making a squeaking sound when you hit a bump... should i replace the strut, the spring, or the mount. or just the whole thing. im low on cash and trying to get an easy fix for a few months. if not should i just replace both sides altogether?

replace the strut, its kinda a pain casue if u dont have a spring compresser u have to rent one for that, and its a pain, you can replace the hole thing, like spring and strut and stute bearings, u can order it where the spring is already compressed for you!
thats the way i go when im in the shop infact i gotta do that to my moms car this week, Both sides!
struts are not easy to replace.. you might have to compress the spring which can be deadly if you don't know what you are doing. i'd bit the bullet and take it to a mechanic
