I have a 1996 Plymouth Voyager with a 3.0 V6. It has a reoccurring problem breaking the serpentine belt along the groove. I noticed that when the van is running the belt rides up on the edge of the camshaft pulley. I have heard that there might be a pulley alignment issue that is causing this. Apparently there is supposed to be a repair kit from Chrysler to fix it. My question is, is this true, how much is the kit, and how to install the kit?

each and every of the above may be real, yet i'm questioning that a touch surprising load on the belt from the alternator and/or capacity guidance motives the tensioner to retract and come back, whipping the belt. Turning a corner at low speeds with dissimilar upload-ons drawing present day is while the belt comes off, so a techniques as i will tell. i've got by no ability had it come off at speed. There hasn't continually been rain or snow. i'm on my third tensioner (counting the unique), the final put in by utilising the Chrysler broker.
