Manual transmission 2000 f150 have had no problems until now
first i went to start it and it acted like it had a dead battery so i wiggled the battery wires and the lights came on tried to start it and the battery sparked and lights and everything goes back off
So i had someone try to start it i wiggled the battery wire and had someone else tap on the starter or sylinoid and it started up
Do i need a new starter or could it have something to do with my battery?
I can try more things to eliminate problems also
Update:How come everytime i tried to start it the connection would go out?
so do i need new wires and replace them or just clean the terminals?

nicely to start up with it must be your solenoid. Did you attempt to short the solenoid for the duration of? to try this take a screwdriver and touch each and each stud totyhe one next to it. If it is the actual difficulty shorting the solenoid could turn the engine over. If this does not artwork then the next step could be to confirm if the starter or starter tension is jammed on the hoop kit. (you would be able to ought to do away with the starter from the truck to confirm if the starter tension is undesirable itself). you may attempt the starter your self... Take off the starter and take a 12 volt battery and 2 booster cables and hook the crimson end of the cable to the valuable on the battery positioned up. Then take the black end of the booster cable and hook it to the negitive on the battery. Now hook the different end of the booster cable (crimson) to the stud on the starter the place the valuable battery cable bolts on. Then take your different booster end (black) and touch it to a good floor on the starter. If the starter spins the starter is sweet. If no longer you need to substitute your starter. additionally in case you have a standered transmission it incredibly is advisable to learn the snatch interlock change... this would be a device it somewhat is fastened on the snatch and in basic terms is activated whilst the snatch is pushed in. additionally the engine will in basic terms turn over if the snatch is pushed in. yet whilst this change is undesirable the engine won't turn over the two. finally clean all connections good. the place the battery cable mounts to the starter, the place it mounts to the solenoid, and the place it is going on the battery positioned up. additionally clean the battery positioned up as nicely. Do an identical for the negitive cable the place ever it incredibly is fastened. additionally clean the it the place it mounts to the solenoid and onto the battery. Use Vaseline. that's what i take advantage of... it incredibly works wonders!!!
if you got a spark when you wiggled the wires, pull the cables off and clean both the cables and the terminals. you have a poor connection. if you are lucky, that should take care of it all.
