My car has problems starting sometimes. I don't think it's the starter, because I hear it trying to start. I went and got the battery tested, and the person said that the battery was fine. Does that mean that it's the alternator? I prob could use a tune-up, but I can't afford to pay $1,000 right now.
Any thoughts or advice? Its a 2005 Nissan Sentra btw.

Engine cranks or long cranking time (fuel pressure check valve in the tank) no crank no start possable starter or neutral switch issue. Manual trans clutch switch? questions should include Year, make, model, motor size 1.8 or 2.5. trans 5 speed 6 speed automatic. and How many miles?
Spark plugs? Nah. that is a gas undertaking. that is in all possibility a gas line clog and/or high quality of gas concern. attempt working one million/2 a tank of chevron top rate and gas equipment purifier (do while close to empty) to work out if that helps; if no longer then replace the gas clear out and gas lines. The radiator rigidity isn't a undertaking because of the fact the equipment is meant to be pressurized.

is you check engine light on?
it could be P0335 crank sensor ( 2.5L only )
OR
it could be P0340 cam sensor
OR
it could be fuel pressure regulator
