I have a 07 Galant and I installed a Amp and subwoofer and also an interior speaker upgrade... the problem is the interior speakers sound the exact same and im thinking its the radio not allowing me to get the power of my interior speakers....
I have no problem changing the radio but the stock radio have a plate covering it that also have the AC and radio controls in a nice layout...
Is there a way to install an aftermarket system that would enable me to keep the layout (covering plate)?

Factory stereo's usually have very little in-built amplifiers, that's why always good to upgrade stereo as well as your speakers.
Have a look around for a new fascia (maybe Ebay) for converting to aftermarket stereo. It's usually possible to find these on most models where the layout is specific to the car. Once you get the new fascia, you should be able to put in any aftermarket stereo. It looks hard, but with a new fascia, is usually much easier than it looks.
Got my stereo from here: http://www.extremecaraccessories.com/ and couldn't be happier, especially for the price! But if looking for more adjustments on the HU, maybe pioneer is the go. Just too expensive for me! :) I just use the amps to adjust levels.
