I'm from an upper class family, so I don't think that I'd qualify for financial aid... but I got a 34 on the ACT and my weighted GPA is a 4.2 out of 5. That has to be worth some scholarship money right?
I'm interested in going to school for graphic design, specifically visual communication. The colleges on my list right now are Penn State, RISD, Pratt, Carnegie Mellon, MICA, and Michigan.
Can anybody help me out? My parents are convinced I'm going to fail out of college so they want me to take out a student loan, but I think I can get some scholarship money to lessen my future debt...

"financial aid' is ANY money you get to attend college INCLUDING scholarships, grants and loans. So you WILL qualify.... you just need to find them. That is a great ACT score and one that should NOT be wasted on an art degree. My advise? Major in a hard science so you 'll be able to support your FUN hobby of art. Try to major and make a living at in and you won't ever be able to support the "upper class" lifestyle you have so grown accustomed to .
lol why doo your parents think that?
