So all day I've been having a dull backache that comes and goes... the dr said wait until its really intense to come in... incase it's labor.
I just went to the bathroom and in my panty liner there was a thick discharge it didn't really have color to it, maybe a little creamy color or white, and the time I went before that.. there was a yellow discharge.
I don't have an infection, I had a bladder infection 4 weeks ago, but since then I've been clear, and no yeast infection either.
Is this my mucus plug... or something else?
Update:yesterday i was 1.5 cm dilated, and 75% efffaced btw

get your bags by the door. if your back is hurting than your baby is coming. I've had 4 babies and with each one of them I noticed I had really back pain along with the cramps before giving birth. Time the pain, the pain in your back will get stronger and to the point to where you cant sit for long, especially on a BUMPY ride in a car!( sorry, personal experience) I would think the discharge is your plug. My midwife always told me that when you feel water gushing out and you CAN stop it,then your peeing on yourself :) BUT if you CANT stop it then your water broke! CONGRATULATIONS!
You may pass your mucus plug — the small amount of thickened mucus that has sealed your cervical canal during the last nine months — if your cervix begins to dilate as you get close to labor.
The plug may come out in a lump or as increased vaginal discharge over the course of several days. The mucus may be tinged with brown, pink, or red blood, which is why it's referred to as "bloody show." Having sex or a vaginal exam can also disturb your mucus plug and cause you to see some blood-tinged discharge, even when labor isn't going to start in the next few days.
Im 21 weeks and a few days and i have the whole discharge thing and the stomach aches but no diarrhea. the discharge is normal but im not sure bout the stomach aches. forme i think its gas more than anything but u mite just want to go ahead and ask a doctor.
it sounds very much like labor it could have been the plug. do what your doctor says and wait for the backaches to get closer together and really bad that nothing relieves them. if they go from your back to either the front of your tummy or to your side then i would most defiantly say it is labor good luck sounds like bub will be here soon.
Your mucus plug would have blood in it. Do like I did I did not call the doctor I just went to the hospital, and if you are in labor they will admitt you if not they will send you home. I ws in early labor so they kept me. Everyones labor is not textbook, so do what you need to do to releave your fears.
