Okay so my old Ipod video just broke on me. The headphone jack is loose and sound only comes from one ear. Rather than fixing it I'll just get a new ipod because its old anyway.
So I was thinking of maybe a Ipod touch. The main issue for the 8gb is that its way to small (about 10GB of space is what I use for Music and music videos). If I transfer all my songs and music videos it would not fit. Now the 2nd Gen 16Gb would fit all my songs and music video. The price for the refurbished Ipod touch 2nd gen (16gb) is the same price as the 3rd gen touch (8GB).
Which Ipod should I get? Are the refurbished ipods reliable? Also how much better are the 3rd gen Ipod Touch compared to the 2nd Gen.
3rd Gen Ipod touch (8GB) $200

Ipod Touch 2nd Gen (16GB): $200

Get the refurbished ipod touch 16gb model, the refurb is new, just that they replaced the ipods formerly defective part with the new, and the rest is still new.
The 8gb latest one is essentially the exact same thing as the 2nd gen 8gb ipod touch, there is NO difference except for the lower price and tiny amount of space only 8gb. There was no hardware upgrade to it at all!
First of all, the 3rd Gen iPod Touches are very new. You can probably find a brand new 2nd Gen on the internet (like Newegg.com or Bestbuy) rather than getting a refurbished iPod. (I would honestly never get anything refurbished... they just wipe it with a diaper until it's skweeky clean)
The 3rd Generation iPod touch is nothing new. The only thing new is that it comes with the 3.1 software but you can buy it from iTunes for $4.95 and install it to your 2nd Gen iPod Touch. It is a "must buy", as all applications are now being made for 3.1.
hate to break it to you, but the iPod Touch 3rd Generation is identical to all second generation models. the only change was a price cut. if the 2nd gen 16gb is 200 dollars now (idk, haven't been to an apple store for a while) then definitley get it. They are identical, except for memory.
if your only willing to spend 200, get he 16gb. the third gen 8gb is the same as 2g 8gb. only the 32 gb and 64 gb have upgraded hardware or prrocessor idk wahts it called but it makes it alot faster.
