97 F150 4.6L 4x4 starter problems?
Starter went bad on the truck bought the new one got under the truck and removed the wires and 3 bolts and the starter will not come out. The trucks been in the family since bought starter just now went bad and its got 292k miles worth of rust on it. Any help to remove it would be great.

i have never seen this before, can only guess the starter pinion is hung on the ring gear AND the steel spacer is corroded to the aluminum starter housing?
my suggestion hit that peice of ..it starter with a hammer till it falls out.
