I got this message from a person after I gave them an offer on craigslist...am I getting scammed or does it sound legit? never used paypal on craigslist
"ok but about 2 or 3 weeks ago had and incident where i met with a person to sell and ipod touch and they ran off with it so im a lil uncomfortable meeting someone without knowing their intensions from the beginning specially being a women and police did nothing to help me so to know that im safe and the sale goes as planned and we both walk away happy u have to do a payment confirmation and while im on my way to meet u ill call and confirm it with customer service and we can meet at the payment center and you oay the rest in cash. What You See Is What You Get!! Or Through Paypal.
and I have noproblem giving u my cell phone number so u can no theres nothing shady going on!!"

You NEVER use paypal on Craigslist for any reason
Offer to meet her at Starbucks, a bank lobby, hotel lobby or anywhere else with lots of people around and you will pay cash. If she doesn't agree then don't bother
I am a woman and always meet buyers at Starbucks and have never had any problem with anyone running off. Nobody is going to try that if they have to squeeze by 5 tables full of people to get to the door
Sounds like a scam to me! The one that will probably end up running off is the seller.
