I'm a 11 grade student living in the UAE (United Arab Emirates). I'm in the British program studying IGCSE. I've done 5 IGCSEs and SAT 1... I'm also doing 3 AS levels this year but I was hoping I could start applying to universities before I finish my AS levels.
Basically I just want to know what universities in the US (mainly in California) ask for... and if I have any chance of getting into a good University. Please help, I'm not getting much answers on their websites. x)

Top universities prefer you to apply the same academic year you will be taking your second years of A levels if you are in the British educational system. If this is your first year of A level courses, I would suggest you wait till next September. Then you will need to prepare:
college applications (which you find on specific universities' websites or use the Common Application, Google "common application")
SAT I score
3 SAT II scores (if you are applying to top UCs or Stanford)
A level predicted results (might have to be filled out by your teachers)
letters of recommendations from your teachers
Individual universities' requirements for "international students" might vary. Check their "check list" for international students on their admissions web page, if they don't have a clearly laid out list, just email their admissions office for a list.
the two faculties are for earnings and on line, yet APU is low fee, is particularly recognized often, and you will choose much less debt on the tip of all of it. you are the only which will earnings from your education. so a great way as "credible" or "effective" education, right this is my journey. faculties that concentration on on line education recent a much extra finished, enticing education that's adapted to the digital ecosystem than do faculties that are traditionally face-to-face. I even have long previous to 2 community faculties in guy or woman and on line; 2 universities on line (and a few in guy or woman), and a 2d 4 year college thoroughly on line, yet that faculty replaced right into a brick and mortar college first. My basically right journey replaced into with faculties that are centred on the grownup on line learner. I labored annoying on the internet degree I won from a familiar state college; in spite of the undeniable fact that, I felt the ecosystem replaced into subpar to the universities that tailor their education to the internet student. Being a veteran, I even have attended 4 diverse faculties to end my 2 4 year ranges. i'm at the instant on the element of attend AMU for a grad degree. that's a domestically approved college, so which you will flow credit from it to state faculties and universities; in spite of the undeniable fact that, as with every college, the articulation of flow credit will constantly rely on the faculty for which you will finished your very final degree. it is not proper despite the fact that in case you flow to UoP, AMU or a state college. as long because of the fact the universities are domestically approved, you would be waiting to flow credit, yet no count number what college you attend, there'll constantly be residency standards and degree standards that don't constantly in fantastic condition despite the fact that faculties you have formerly attended. pondering the interest industry, i could pick the inexpensive college. AMU/APU is extra known than you would be able to think of.
