Hi, I have a Kitchen Aid dishwasher that seems to be draining once the dishwasher fills with water. The water valve is pouring water inside the dishwasher and I do hear the pump working and I am confident the float and the micro switch are working. It seems to be draining in the middle of the wash cycle. There is no drain solenoid on this model, only a one way check valve near the drain hose which is not clogged. The model # is KUDI24SEWHI I do know how to read the online parts diagrams if that helps in pointing out a known failed part. I am guessing there is a problem in the sump unit. There are 2 checkballs in there and they look good and clean.Thank You for your time!

A dishwasher will drain after the wash cycle and after the rinse cycle. The drain hose must either be connected to a disposer or looped up 20" above the floor before tying into a drain pipe. They pump out the water, and some have a solenoid. You do not want it to syphon out.
You state that yours does not have a solenoid. So the pump must run in reverse to pump out the water. If it trys to drain from the very start, the water is syphoning out, the pump is reversed, or the checks are bad. If it trys to drain after completing the wash cycle, either the water is not getting pumped out, or the machine is not sensing that the water is pumped out, after the wash cycle. Normally the cycle will not progress.
