any REAL tech schools?
I've been researching tech schools recently and from what I am finding it seems that ITT TECH, Devry, and University of Phoenix are all "for-profit" schools. I also found articles and essays on about how fast the computer world changes, I was aware of the rotation of codes, but it seems like it happens faster than I was aware of. Is this even a logical career path to pursue?

There are real computer tech schools that are great at getting you certified. Depending on the field you want to go into there are specialty schools. A good example of a specialty school is http://solartrainingnj.org/ they would help you get your NABCEP certification.
It's a good career path, you just have to continue to update your knowledge in your field (same as in any other field). There are great four year colleges that offer bachelor's degrees in tech fields. Community colleges are also good places to get AA degrees and certification in certain tech fields. Decide what it is you want to do, then you can pick the college that's right for you.
