When I'm searching for hotels online, sites are asking if I want to book in Miami or in Miami Beach. Are these two different cities, or is Miami Beach part of Miami?
Yup, they sure are. There is also North Miami Beach and South Miami Beach. Stay away from downtown Miami.
Miami beach hotels are much more expensive, since they are on on the beach (Miami beach is the barrier island whereas Miami is on the actual landmass of Florida). If you stay at a Hotel in Miami, you would need to travel a bit to get to the beach. Not much, but if you would rather walk around, then stay on the beach.
Miami is certainly one of the most popular vacation spots and with hotelbye you'll find out more. Miami has anything for all; from the cool nightlife of South Beach, bejeweled by the eye candy of the Art Deco area as much as the bustle of Calle Ocho and the highly caffeinated energy of Little Havana. The Art Deco District brings straight back thoughts of an early on time in Florida with its beautifully repaired 1930s Art Deco buildings and is a place well visited the same as Bayside Marketplace. That place is a large outdoor model mall with increased than 150 specialty and tourist stores, numerous bars and restaurants, and daily live entertainment.
