I have been doing a lot of thinking lately. I know i want the experience of going to traditional college but at the same time I want to start working asap so I can earn a real living rather than just waitressing at a restaurant or some minimum wage job like that.
Currently a highschool senior in Georgia.
what are your thoughts about going to both of these schools at the same time?

I've attended both trade schools and regular college, though never at the same time. Trade schools tend to be very expensive, at least in my area of California. Trade schools also tend to be time consuming as far as the number of in class hours that they require, because they get you in and out fast.
Those 2 factors might prevent you from doing trade school and traditional college at the same time. If your trade school is super short, like just a month or a few months, maybe you can manage it. I, myself, am going to take 1 online class at a regular university this fall while finishing up my trade school program.
The reasons I feel comfortable with doing this are: 1) i already know what to expect home-work wise and study wise in my trade school, since I've been going there for almost a year. 2) The class I'm taking at the same time will be online and on a topic that I'm already knowledgeable in. 3) There will only be a 2 month overlap where I'll be in 2 schools at once. 4) I am a professional student so I know exactly what I'm getting into, since I've been in and out of college my entire adult life.
Check out the links below, you can read about 1 students experience in a traditional college and at a trade-school.
You won't really get the true experience of going to a traditional college unless you are going their full time, so why not take a trade certificate or degree program at a traditional college?
