I am starting to get depressed, the dark nights are nearly upon us. the grey days, the bare trees, oh well that is enough about our summer, only joking, but do anyone really like the winter, not talking about xmas, but about being cold, wet and not seeing the sun and clear blue skies for weeks on end, and those long dark nights from 4pm, i go to work in the dark and come home in the dark, oh i hate it, am i in the minority or majority i am sure you will let know.

In my opinion you are in majority, I heard the same very often from people. They say they're getting depressed without sun. The grey days and a sky..less green world remind people (the most as I suppose) of comming winter. And as in winter the most plants die and some animals fall asleep..,
the same feel people, it's normal.
But if you think about: what happens after winter..? All world is getting ready to wake up, enjoy the warm and a blu sky again, etc, and the new plants are ready to arrise..,
don't you think it's magic? It is just nature, fantastic and to be able "born" again first something has to die or just ..get some rest :-)). It's the same as day and night : everybody needs both..
Personally, I lived in Italy where was always sun, all year hot, INCREDIBLE HOT and I loved a sun and at least possibility always (when I did not go to work) to go to the see, relax,,
but..after a few years even if loved sunny weather I started to miss snow, and also hate sunny days because at work that just disturb me, at home was incredible hot, nothing to breath,
outdoor-I just couldn't stand it.
So that I was realy borred because every day the same weather. And tired, very tired , as well as when every day is cloudy and grey.
So I wish to myself that there will different stagions, because where I stay there is always otumn :-)))
but I do not get upset because I rememberthis incredible hot
and because I try to enjoy every moment - yes-moment of changig wheather: rain, winter, no winter, no rain, sometimes sunny, sometimes area fresh and cold, sometimes not fresh but warmer,
I just try to catch diferent moments in my life and not be borred
WARM HUG
I like winter clothes and evenings in front of the fire, but i hate all the darkness and not being able to do anything when i come home from work, so besides one or two things, i generaly hate the winter, it's very depressing, i'd prefer autumn, because you still get some nice days and longish evenings, also the landscape is beautiful at this time of year because of all the rich colours, in comparison to the bleakness of winter, i dont mind the cold so much i just hate the rain and winter showers!
I love the winter. In the summer you feel like you have to be doing something all the time. You've had a hard day at work and all you want to do is sit in doors in the peace and quite and snuggle up and watch a film or read a book but you feel like a total slob if you do that as everyone else is outside gardening or having a bbq and generally being active. Also in the winter when your out in the freezing crispy cold and you can't wait to get home in the cosy warm. It's such a nice feeling when you finally get home, light the fire, wrap up in a blanket and have a hot cup of tea while a hot meal is cooking. You don't get that feeling in the summer when your sweaty and irritable cos it's too bloody hot, it's much easier to warm up than it is to cool down.
Winter is what you make it. I lived up north and used the winter for indoor hobbies like sewing or rug making. I didn't ski or snowmobile so that was out. I didn't like to clean the snow off the sidewalks. So I moved south. Lost all my winter time hobbies, because there is no winter! But I enjoy the outdoors and working in the shop with the doors open. Why not have a party?
Have a good time.

Every season has its advantages and disadvantages. I do not know if I am the exception, but I really do not welcome the long hot summer days!! It makes my skin dry, itchy, scaly even though I try to drink enough water and eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Despite this, I managed to overcome it. I guess it all boils down to having a positive mental attitude.
Winter on the other hand, can be quite a welcoming sight if one is dressed appropriately to avoid catching a cold, and be ready to indulge in some winter sports, combing the countryside for wild fruits or other outdoor activities of one's choice.
I do ~ i love winter woolies and sitting in a warm window with a mug of hot soup and watching the snow fall and sleeping in on cold mornings at the weekend and playing in the snow and in fall the leaves are just so purty~ its all good

Autumn wintry climate spring in that order autumn the ending of existence in the past the sleep while each thing is changing hues and the temp is down spring the scent of unpolluted each thing coming back to existence bright vegetables and dark heat wet nights wintry climate because of the fact each thing looks so serene and proper coated in snow and it hides each and all of the grotesque of the international
Well here the spring blossoms are out, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the rains should be coming soon. No more gloomy, cold frosty mornings for a while. Eat your heart out!
I like winter, even lying in bed when you hear the rain lashing down outside. You should get yourself a Light Box, apparently they work wonders for people with SAD.
