Hello, I'm in the need of a very good gaming desktop under 1000 dollars. I'm afraid that the new games coming out this year won't be able to run very well with my laptop, since it can't play GTA IV with medium graphics, so I'm thinking of getting a new PC. Any suggestions?

If you're including monitor, keyboard and mouse then it's nearly impossible to find/make a gaming desktop that could play games on ultra/max settings with 40-50fps at 1080p for under $1000. On the other hand, without the monitor and accessories, you could buy the parts from someplace like Tigerdirect.com or Newegg.com and it would be a lot cheaper then if you would buy it from CyberpowerPC, IBuypower or Digitalstorm.
Here's one of my gaming rigs. It's a mid-high end gaming rig that cost me $1100.
CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 (don't buy i5-4670 or 4670k because there's practically no difference between the three)
GPU: 2 way SLI Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 ti Boost
Motherboard: Asus R.O.G. Maximus VI Hero
RAM: Geil EVO Veloce 8gb 1600Mhz of ram
SSD: Adata Premier Pro 64gb
HDD: 1TBx2 WD
PSU: Corsair CX600w
Cooling System: Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO
That cost me around $1000 it's good but easily upgradeable
performance: fast, great gaming and pretty affordable.
here's my ultimate gaming rig that cost me $4500.
