Best and cheap does not go hand in hand. If you want the best then you are going to pay more. If you want the cheapest, then you are giving up quality and reliability. If you read yahoo questions all the time, you will notice that 95% of tv problems comes from those bargain/cheap brand tvs. You are not gong to find a 55" tv for the price you are looking at spending. At most you can find a 50". Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on tvs, along with the pro and con of each technology.
