My 2 year old dachshund looks bored all the time. I take her for walks twice a day in the morning and night and she loves it and gets so happy. I also take her out when she has to go to the bathroom and she plays in our back yard alot. But other than that the rest of the day she's always sleeping and looks really bored. What indoor activities can i do to keep her from being bored all the time? It looks like she's bored out of her mind when she's just laying in the house after a while.. My 2 year old dachshund looks bored all the time. I take her for walks twice a day in the morning and night and she loves it and gets so happy. if u have tennis balls dogs LOVE that if you throw it gently and always praise them after they get back they always feel happy and proud of themselves.

Also If u can get a tread mill they can run for fifteen to twenty minutes at a time and a slow running pace, i warn you your dachshund will have a hard time getting on but once you get em goin itll be fine!

and you can always try a small remote control car dogs love chasing them

If there's a dog park anywhere close to you, take her there. Sometimes, dogs like friends of their own kind, too. Maybe you've got a party animal who hasn't been out in awhile :-) Other than that, longer walks will help tire her out and keep her happy.
