If you went to the doctor the day after you got bit and got treated for a bite. How long do you think it will be to tell whether you will be alright or not?
I heard you can tell in a few days if not one or two. Because it gets bad fast.

If it was a brown recluse you wouldn't be walking. You would be squirting from both ends. The site of the bite would be sick, gross, awful. I don't think this was a recluse.
It can be days, week, even months before total healing occurs depending upon the size. Doctors are innefective in getting this treated because they do not have a cure in this country for recluse bites.
I was bit by a recluse April 2nd, after 1 wk in the hospital and 6 antibiotics, none of it working, I finally found a miracle brown recluse first aid kit that you should get ASAP. Now, I'm still dealing with this, but I'm treating with the first aid kit 4-5 times per day as directed and it's working!!!

I got bit by one about 6 months ago and it took 2 weeks for the flesh around the bite to deteriorate and me to realize it was a brown recluse and go to the doctor. I am still healing!
I am sure you will be fine, keep taking the atibiotics (the doctor should have gave you some) and if it gets too big, which it should keep growing, at least mine did, but I never went back to the doctor. I just did the following things and I let it heal. Here is what I did to make it easier to deal with:
Use a 50/50 baking soda/water paste, and apply to it once daily, cover with bandage, I let mine sit overnight like that, then apply antibiotic cream bandage up, always keep it covered, and when it itches put ice on it, dont touch it!!!
It will take a long time to heal, mine was on my inner thigh and after a little over 6 months it still isn't healed, be patient, and if it gets too bad go back to the doctor!!
Good luck!
This is a direct answer but am very confused as to how a snake Can lay it's eggs in someones arm! That is absolutely impossible and either you didn't take him to a real dr or you are just a but confused!!
The Brown recluse is extremely venomous and if you were okay the next day then I think the chances are that it wasn't a brown recluse spider that bit you.
In some cases, certain people are hyper-sensitive to certain types of bites. If it doesn't get better within a few days of treatment, the person should go back to the doctor. They could need a different medication, or it might not be a spider bite. Staph infections are frequently misdiagnosed as spider bites.
if you got bit by a brown recluse, within a few hours you would have swelling and a blistering at the site. a brown recluse bite is almost like a rattlesnake bite. the tissue around the site will start to deteriorate. there are several websites on the internet that will show you what the venom does to your skin. if you think its a recluse bite go to the emergency room and tell them.
The very day I saw that my 6 year old son {at that time} had been bitten by a spider, I took him immediately to the Dr. He was alarmed and took me to another room. My son had been bitten by a Brown Recluse, one of the most deadly spiders there is. His arm looked like rotten meat. He was treated with antibiotics immediately. But, they didn't work. He had streaks running up his arm. I took him back and the antibiotics were changed. It took a month for him to be able to go back to school. The fear our Dr. had was if she had laid her eggs in his arm. If so, we would all have been in danger. I watched him closely and prayed over him constantly. God was merciful and no eggs in his arm.
EDIT: TO THE THUMBS DOWN KNOW IT ALL. I HOPE YOU NEVER GO THROUGH WHAT MY SON DID. IT WAS BROWN RECLUSE MY DR. HAD SEEN IT BEFORE.
