Ok, I have been surfing google for several hours now, and there's not a single place offers these. So I guess you just have to go the custom road.
So my question is, does anyone knows about a custom magazine maker? The BAR is such a wonderful rifle, low recoil, accurate, lightweight, reliable. Such a shame it's limited by the crap capacity.

I own a BAR Safari rifle. If you fire too many rounds in a row you’re going to have one real dam hot rifle! I mean melt skin on contact with barrel hot. So even if they made a 10 round mag you’re going to be limited by it heating up. And if you don’t let it cool down you will damage a fine rifle. Even rifles that are made to fire lots of rounds like the M1 30-06 get smoking hot from doing so and that’s a battle rifle.
I could see maybe a 5 round mag. But it doesn’t take long to change a mag out. It is a hunting rifle and in some places you can only have 3 rounds in the rifle for hunting anyway.
Browning 300 Win Mag
I've read a few of these answers, and in what I've read so far, I find one important aspect missing. I too own a BAR Safari 300 Win Mag (in pristine condition), and would like a higher capacity magazine. And, concerning the gentleman who reminded us that the barrel gets hot… we're not novices while owning a high-end firearm. It was a totally valid question and should be addressed as such.
I also hunt and on occasion I have hunted large Canadian game (brown bear, moose, etc.). As such, I find the three-round item pretty scary for my blood, especially if/when the potential scenario occurred where I was trying to retrieve and reload the emptied magazine from under the base plate in a high-stress situation--like a vitally-wounded but very-angry grizzly or moose bearing down on me.
Now, if the mag was more easily retrievable, that would be much better, and essentially alleviate the need for that which the original question was asked. Personally, I don't necessarily want or need a ten-round mag, even though it is legal in the state where I presently reside. Five rounds would be much better than three in the situation I just described... a 60% improvement, in fact.
Bottom line, so far I have found nothing available, although it wouldn’t be beyond the realm of possibilities. However, one would have to remove and/or reconfigure the whole floor-plate mounting system for it to be feasible.
OK, here’s a thought. Look at FN’s new FNAR in .308 caliber (7.62x51mm). It can be seen on their FNHUSA site, and uses a Browning BAR Safari-type receiver with removable magazines of 5, 10, and 20 round capacities. Granted, the .308 round is shorter than the .300 Win Mag, but it would be a good pattern to follow. (Browning and FN and now under the same corporate umbrella.)
I live and hunt Alaska. I watched my uncle take down a bison with one round from his 460 Weatherby. My friend who is a bison rancher in Delta Junction will not let a client use anything smaller than a 30-06 on his bison and recommends the 338Win mag or larger. He has a 338Win mag extra rifle handy for the clients to use. If you are looking for brown bear protection - 300Win mag is fine. However, if you are going to hunt brown bear - which means getting close enough to look the bear over on the left, right, front, back etc to be sure it is not rubbed - you need at least a 338Win mag for this. I have a video taken by a friend on Kodiak - shows his hunting partner nailing a 8' grizzly with his 300win mag. After each shot the bear got back up and kept moving toward the shooter. It wasnt until shot #5 the bear went down and stayed down. 8' is not a big bear for Kodiak - most Kodiak hunters would be quite disapointed and would rather get something in the 9 foot to 10 foot size that is not uncommon with coastal bears - especially on Kodiak and other islands

RE:
Browning BAR .300 win mag extended magazines?
Ok, I have been surfing google for several hours now, and there's not a single place offers these. So I guess you just have to go the custom road.
So my question is, does anyone knows about a custom magazine maker? The BAR is such a wonderful rifle, low recoil, accurate, lightweight,...
As far as I'm aware, I have not seen a 10 round .300 Win Mag magazine for the BAR Safri, I do know that a small business did make 10 and 20 round .308 Magazines (and of which offered a "installation and modification fee") but as far as I know they are pretty much considered Collectors items now as the company went out of business in the 1990's, I had one of the 10rd's and sold it to a gentleman in Kentucky but as of now I've have not found a single company that makes 'em. Your much better off going to a custom gun maker and inquiring about custom magazines.
For what reason do you need a bigger magazine? If you're target shooting, I could understand, but for hunting there's no valid reason.
Just buy a couple of extra mags, and keep them loaded when you're shooting. For the price you'd pay, you'll be better off. Having bigger mags custom-made is going to cost an arm and a leg, especially for one that's of any decent quality.
EDIT: Extra mags are about $50 apiece. Unless there happens to be a custom gunsmith who is already set up to make them, you'll pay more than $50 just for him to set up his fabrication equipment... and probably a lot closer to $200-$300. Add to that materials and time, and one magazine could potentially cost you $400. For that much, you could have eight regular magazines.
Down here in Texas we have a hog problem, heards of hogs problem. 30-40 at a time , ruining crops pastures etc. the Bar300 is instant death , even to a big boar. They are a big problem but they should die humanely. I would like to shoot as many as possible before they run into the woods. No time to change clips. Ive used 308, 30/06 several others. None work like the 300,I would like to not have to buy another rifle.Love my bar, but 4 shots aint enough.
So, you're admitting to being a poor marksman because you need more ammo to accomplish the same goal, or are you just too lazy to reload?
Cluephone alert: In many parts of the country, it isn't even LEGAL to hunt with a capacity over 5 or 10...and, let's face it, the .300 win mag ain't exactly a current battle rifle cartridge.
But hey, let's just say for the sake of argument you want to waste your money plinking with the .300 Win Mag instead of setting fire to piles of cash directly. It's not like you're in combat or running full auto...why not just BUY MORE MAGAZINES and...oh, heaven forbid...RELOAD YOUR WEAPON more often.
Either that or learn to shoot better.

Yes, with a premium bullet and proper shot placement the .300 Win Mag will do the job.I myself would use either my .375 H&H or my .416 Rigby!
