I noticed recently while taking Target brand menstrual relief (the kind with caffeine in it) that I got ridiculously nauseous. I have/had gastritis so at first I thought maybe it had to do with that but I still get sick even while taking my medicine. I figured maybe it was the coating on the pill or the fact that I took it with an empty stomach. Well tonight I had a coke and it's giving me the same feeling I had when I took the pills. Also, now that I realize it, drinks with coffee in them have upset my stomach for years but I never thought much of it. Is this a common thing? I also have anxiety and that affects my stomach quite a bit so could it be the caffeine heightening my anxiety or is there some chemical that does it? I guess I just want to know if this is something I need to see a doctor about. I can avoid caffeine fine but if it's a serious medical issue, then that's a different story.

Anxiety can cause stomach problems.
Caffeine in moderation should not upset your stomach but perhaps you could experiment to see if avoiding caffeine for a week or so makes any difference.
