Dr. Barnard's patients show that changing diet can change your life. There is a list of type one and type two diabetics. It shows how they changed their diet and then where able to have a more stable blood sugar level, even while reducing the amount of medication.
Lets be clear. There is NO CURE for diabetes period. However, for some Type 2 diabetics it can be controlled by strict diet and exercise relieving the need for oral medication. That does not mean they are cured. It just means they are controlling it with diet/exercise.
If anyone claims to be cured they were never a true diabetic in the first place.
Vegan diet only removes meat and animal related products. This does not remove sugar and carbohydrates from your diet which is what need to be moderated to control diabetes. In fact you may be making it more difficult for yourself because meats are a high protein, and no carb food which is important in maintaining low blood sugars. A Vegan diet still includes things like breads, beans, granola, and rice for example which are loaded with carbs and will cause high blood sugars if not moderated or countered with medication like insulin.
I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.
Nope, but eating more green leafy veggies can help keep your carb load down and make your blood glucose easier to manage. It's not a good idea to go vegan because lean meats and eggs are very low-carb and an important part of diabetic eating and staying satiated.
There is no cure for diabetes, either Type 1 or 2. We just control it as best we can.
My friend, I have type 2 diabetes. I was taking all sorts of pills to control it and none of it works. I did a little research on the internet, and found it possible to have greater control over it. I quit taking my pills and started eating a lot of veggies some meats, ( turkey, chicken and mostly fish). I am taking a lot of fibre mixed in my meals. so far, I believe I may have better control as my blood fasting reading has been coming in lower. my blood fasting level was between 145 and 160 with the pills. now, it is around 120. I have been on the diet for about three weeks now. But that is my choice and I do still see a doctor. As for a cure, I nave read that there is no cure according to the ADA.
Type 2 diabetes, usually referred to as adult onset, is when your body produces insulin but can not use it properly. This type can be treated successfully with the right diet and exercise in most circumstances. Read here https://tr.im/nT32n
If blood sugars are not kept under control at some point insulin will probably be integrated / oral medications are also available. People with diabetes can live long, happy lives but must be diligent in their care and make sure you see your endocrinologist on a regular basis.
Not only would it not cure diabetes, but you wouldn't have a whole lot left to eat.
Essentially a vegan diet is grains, fruits/veggies, and beans. Grains and fruit have carbs, so they're limited/out (depending on how severe the diabetes is). That leaves you with beans and veggies . . .yum.
Meat, eggs, and to some extent dairy are all much more limited in terms of carbs, and meat is considered a "free food." but vegan diets wouldn't allow any of them.

Once a diabetic, always a diabetic. A vegan diet could control diabetes, but it could not cure it.
