This is for selection for British Army Parachute Regiment. I am 13 and about a half stone, about 6 foot and large build like a rugby player, not fat...yet but going to pull it together after the new year. I understand the hard work needed to be put in but I don't know if I can do it in regards to my size and weight, yes it can be reduced but i would still be quite stocky, not looking for an ego boost just don't think it's physically possible, I may be wrong, if so then great!
Update:Didn't make it clear I'm 17 years old and I weigh 13.5 stone/85.7 Kg/189 lb

Very possible with a little training. Get on the grass and break it down into sections. You need to get to roughly 6 minute miles. Roughly 18 x 100 yards in a mile, 360 seconds in 6 minutes so you need to average the 100 in 20 seconds. Get a stop watch and get the feel for running the 100 at that, rest 30 secs then do it again till you feel you don't really need the rest then step up to 200 yard sections and repeat. Once you are comfortable go to 400 then 800 after that then full course.
This is over a time period not knowing what fitness level you are already at. Working at this at least 3 sessions a week with some strength training twice a week should get you there rather quickly. Total distance you cover should initially be 1 or 2 mile working up to 5 mile a day. Maintain sprint work also to keep your speed high, running fast burst 200 and 400's every few days. Sorry if that is all over the place but I am trying to give the basics without writing a war and peace novel as a reply.
Good luck you will get there if you put the work in.
Yes you can. My friend, Caleb, can do it! Although he's as tall as a third grader and weighs like, 70 lb. He's 13 also. But I'm pretty sure you can do it. Just train a lot. ^^
