Because that's such a totally inappropriate and insulting thing to say - I can't believe anyone would be so ignorant and rude.

Just because a person is born with dwarfism or a similar condition that doesn't mean that they're any less intelligent or mature than anyone else - and they're obviously a lot more intelligent and mature than you are.
