Can you get sick from being in beach water?
I recently went swimming at the beach, and when I woke up the next day, I had a fever and a nasty cough. Would it be the salt in the water? I don't know maybe it's just me.

Are you sure u did not kiss any one ?! In fact, fever is not a disease itself, but if exists is the result of a great effort u did to get rid on the disease and to return back the balance due for his first physical if i make my self clear ..
Maybe if you drink it or if you have an open wound. Of coarse there is bacteria in water.... But it usually doesn't make people sick. My real concern would be if you had an open wound
