how does the amount of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the atmosphere remain constant even though large amounts of carbon dioxide are produced by buring fossil fuels and petrol?
The carbon dioxide level is rising from burning fossil fuels.
It would be worse if all the producers/autotrophs weren't taking carbon dioxide from the air for photosynthesis.
