Like others said regarding carbon not being suitable for every job. Carbon is also expensive and in many cases a comparable aluminum or titanium part is just as light and more durable.
You need different material characteristics for different components. In ball bearings for instance you need very hard and smooth surfaces, something which carbon fiber and related laminates don't manage that well. It's like with clothes. Cotton might make a nice t-shirt, but won't do well as a sole for your shoe.

That is why they are making to move to Carbon Kevlar, it is still sound at very sharp angles, and even curves.

You can't use it for bearings and there are better materials for other parts. The pros are riding bikes that are about 15 lbs that is pretty light.

plus fibers are good for long thin things, not so good for compact things like nuts and screws
