Is the name really so threatening?
I always thought there was the slightest touch of elegance to it, elegance clashing with morbidity of course, but elegance none the less. Class, decorum, and beauty as well.
The name has pungent effect, and can, but not always does, reflect the word murder and all its affiliated meanings (Which are not always negative), so why have I been getting so much bad feedback about it?

Ive always loved your name... silly me never associated the "murder" with the act but more with a murder of crows.
I like it, it isnt at all threatening to me. Elegance and morbidity fit well together, reminding me of the band Malice Mizer. People should not judge someone on their name anyway.
Whatever rocks your boat..... If YOU like it, keep it. It's your dam name, not anyone else's.
Although how you can associate "Charlie" with class or elegance is beyond me.
It would be considered quite provocative, if Marilyn Manson hadn't already beaten you to the concept.
I think it is sort of Manson-esque.
I think it is an okay name. It causes people to think and that is a good thing.
Try Donnie Delusional.
wow you are a pompous @ss, anyways, the name it is messed up and I don't see the elegance or decorum in it.
because it brings to mind the insanity of Charles Manson.
