Okay so in September i will be leaving my dog to go to college.
And I'm kinda thinking about getting either a Hamster or a Guinea Pig to make up for leaving my dog.
I don't know my class or work schedules yet. but i think i should have time for both.
I'm leaning more towards guinea pigs cuz theres like small dogs. but then it might get lonely when I'm gone during the day so then i should probably get two? right?
But then hamsters take up less space. but seem to keep to them self.
I'm so confused :S

I would get a hamster, just because you wont have the time for the guinea pigs, so a hamster would be the best choice.
Stick with a hamster. A college student does not have the time to care and play for/with the guinea pig. A hamster does not need as much time.
You are totally right, hamsters do like to stay to their-selves which is nice. I have had both a hamster and a guinea pig in the past but i currently own two dwarf rabbits! they are sweet animals! =) Anyway guinea pigs are the happiest with cage mates, meaning yes you would have to get another guinea pig which can take up a LOT of space and they like to be out of their cage. Hamsters are more calm and they are way cheaper! Their cages are smaller too. You choose????... I like both! =)
thanks. hope this helped a bit! =)
Aww sorry that you have to leave your dog! Well at least you can visit her and stuff.
I would get a 2 female guinea pigs if I were you, because yes they have dog like personalities. Make sure you do all of your research so you can properly take care of them. My sister and I both had guinea pigs a couple years ago (she still has hers after like 7 years!) and they were both female and lived together and got into 1 little tiff then they were BFF's! They were both really sweet and easy to take care of. Hamsters tend to bite and guinea pigs are very social and loving animals so they usually don't bite. Good luck!
