I have 2 blood parrots and 4 convict cichlids in a 180 gal tank. I have been thinking of adding a crayfish. Will the crayfish attack or snack on my fish, especially when the lights go off? Or will the Convicts pick on it?
hi good luck with you aquarium. with the crayfish i wouldn't recommend them as i have keep the species numerous times. here are my experiences:
1. first crayfish was put in the tank went crazy ate two fish!!!
2. second time i got a crayfish their was no problems until the crayfish crossed into the eels cave (got little nasty).
3. 3rd which is right now i went to a breeder and got information the man said that its is fine to elastic band there claws shut for there whole life but i chose to elastic band them for two days, worked fine now he has no problems at all with the fish even when he has his claws open and the goldfish swam right threw!
The peacock will consume the crayfish. it incredibly is going to %. the legs off and claws, leaving it defenseless. additionally Africans could be stored with a pH of 8.4 Books are the suitable source of suggestions for aquariums and fish.

The crayfish will get eaten, probably within a few days, unless you have a shelter he's hidden and inaccessible in.
