I went to MEPS today and I was astonishing 12 pounds underweight. I am 6'2" and 136 pounds while the minimum for the AF is 148. It is nearly impossible for me to gain weight as I have tried for years to no avail. I eat 4000 calories per day on average. Anyways, I was put in the DEP with no waivers or issues, which is actually quite amazing to me after all the stories I hear about people being DQ'ed over 5 pounds. I ship in 4-6 months, but I meet with my recruiter every month. Should I still be worried about my weight, or do I have until I ship to meet the requirement? Or do I just not have to meet it at all? Honestly I've never seen or heard about anything like this, so naturally I am extremely confused. Thanks for the help

Just sit at home and cram fast food and ice cream down your face. If you really can't gain some poundage after binging on fatty munchies, you have a serious problem with your metabolism.
well here's the deal, if you do not meet the minimum weight the day you go back to DEERS to ship - then you will NOT ship!
