The existence of human DNA in Neanderthals and Neanderthal DNA in humans means they were able to successfully reproduce and therefore by definition are the same species. The only reason they are referred to differently is because of the desire for evolution to be true. The biological facts on the ground are they are just different races of humans which quite likely is the case with many of the hominid 'links'.

I'd have to look into it. Scripture does make reference to 'giants' in the world, such as Goliath. And if people lived much longer, as scripture proposes, there could have been longer term cases of things such as advanced arthritis or other physical growths that extended for longer periods of time.
