If you treat it properly and have it serviced regularly 150K to 200K is easily obtainable, however you can blow it in 30 minutes if you abuse it.
Its like asking 'how long is a piece of string',
I'm on my third V8 Disco now and my two previous had covered 175K and 128K respectively with very little in the way of problems, couple of oil seals, and a broken linkage after an off road towing incident, but they were always properly serviced.
Current one is up to 147K and just coming up to its third fluid and filter change with no problems at all.
Better question might have been 'How long does the transfer box last?' but thats a different story.
Hard to say as it depends on driving style, maintainance, whether it's been used for towing etc. Anywhere between 60,000 miles if it's had a hard life , to a maximum of maybe 250,000.
If this is a question about a used car you're about to buy, check if the car has a towbar, and if you can, check the colour of the fluid by wiping the gearbox dipstick on a white cloth. Red and clear is good, brown and muddy-looking is bad.
Bear in mind a recon autobox will cost about a grand!
On the manuals, the gearboxes regularly last 120,000 before failing. Autos are likely to last longer before they wear out. It does depend on how you drive it, and what you mean by last. If it needs adjustment, the filter screns cleaning and so on, you may find garages say it needs replacing as they will make more money on the work.
depends on how it was treated. and if it had regular maintinence. if so i still wouldnt know, but i think about 10,000,000mi or less.
