No i didnt, and my water was broken for 17 days on hospital bed rest before they finally took my son. It broke at 31 weeks, i just htought he'd kicked my bladder and i'd peed myself. I called my mom up so embarrassed by what happened and told her i was going home immediately to change and she was like "omg no jennifer--get to the hospital--your water broke" i hadnt even considered it because it was so early. He is a healthy happy 2 1/2 yr old boy now.
I didn't. I was induced where they broke my water in the hospital. It was warm like I peed myself. It was gushy-like. My contractions came on maybe 30 minutes thereafter with the help of some induction meds.
With my first daughter, I woke up sat to pee, when I stopped, I still felt like gushes of water were coming out, I couldn't control it (like you could stop pee sorry tmi) But it didn't hurt at all..
If you're already having contractions, then yes - technically - but not from breaking it itself. If you're not in labor, it doesn't hurt. If you are, then a lot of times it will ramp up your contractions. It has for me twice.

no. Many women even think they have accidental peed their pants when in fact their water broke.
