Why is it so expensive compare to cheaper blenders out there? For example, the Vitamix could cost almost $400 or more when I can get a Ninja blender for half the price or more less.
Update:Mama: QVC is offering it right now. Visit their website at qvc.com or switch the chanel ! lol
I'm considering buying it myself! lol

I've tried both. Vitamix can really liquify something into a thin liquid.
Ninja did not do the job when grinding dry hot peppers for a sauce I made. Very dissapointing.
I'm seriously considering the Vitamix for the $400
I have been wondering that too, you can get a re-furbished vitamix for a little cheaper with warranty on their site. The Ninja looks good but I have heard from a few people that they had issues with it, I think that can be common with blenders or appliances though, could be a dud.
I have been considering buying a new blender, I currently have an osterizer which works really well, have had it for about 8 years or so and it blends really well, not sure how well compared to the vitamix. Good luck with your decision and purchase : )
try grinding wheat into flour with any other blender you will see the difference. or grind coffee beans
