Does putting on hairspray and gel damage hair? not a TON but enough to scrunc it but enough to make a pony tail slicked?

Yes-it depends on the type of hairspray. Many gels and hair sprays have lots of alcohol and silicone's in them which coat your hair and make it look shiny,yet block moisture and cause dryness and breakage. Aloe vera gel works great but its a bit pricey, you can find it at a health food store, vitamin shop or gnc. You can use a good conditioner to slick back your hair as well.
It dries out your hair, so be careful not to straighten it too much, or blow dry it too much, unless you put conditioner and stuff in it.
Constant hairspray will dry out your scalp too, and then your hair will be slightly damaged. If you don't use it alot, all the time, then you should be good.
no i dont think so. as long as you wash it out. btw i dont think slicked ponytails look good. but my thoughts shouldnt matter. no it wont damage your hair
