It's not that bad. Like a case of cramps, but it doesn't last long. I'd say it's worth it. Very effective.

Honestly, yes, it feels like really bad cramps for about an hour or so. I've had mine in for almost 5 years now and havn't had any problems. It works for some people and some people have problems with it. I like not having a period and not having to remember to take a pill every day.

I'm not sure if it hurts, but I have had a lot of people advise me against getting mirena put in. They said it was not worth it.

It is definitely uncomfortable. It is not terribly painful but it feels like a severe case of menstrual cramping. Good luck with it..i had mine for eight weeks and had it removed because I didn't stop bleeding the whole time.
