I have a 3.12/4.0 GPA from McGill University in Microbiology and Immunology.
Is it decent or pretty bad?
Would it affect me much for Grad School?
Most important, does it really matter much?
People (professors especially) have been giving me mixed opinions.

I would bet that you'll need at least an MS to get a job in microbiology and/or immunology, so your undergrad GPA will mean something because it will affect your ability to get into grad school. If you're going straight on to work, the GPA is of minimum importance. The fact that you have a 3+ GPA from a very prestigious university will mean more.
It really depends on what you want to do. If you plan on going to med school then i'd say it is a bit on the lower side but still very manageable, if you intend on going to grad school then you should be okay depending on what programs you want to get into. If you just want your BS/BA then you are doing great, i know a few people that graduate with a 2.3 and get job offers.
Most grad schools require a 3.0+ to apply.
