OMG please dont EVER straighten your hair when it's wet!!! i did it for a year and now my hair is like crap!! please please don't, it'll ruin your hiar.
It usually sizzles when its wet. But if i were you, i wouldnt straighten my hair everyday. try blow drying it straight as best as you can and just use the straightener for touch ups, because sometimes if its wet you may not know if it sizzles because its wet or because you straightn it to much. but if your hair is dry then it may sizzle because you straighten it to much
You have to wait for it to dry before you start straightening it. It is sizzling because it is burning.
If it is heat protection spray it shouldn't damagae your hair. It just sizzles because it is wet and the heat drys/boils it.
