Last night I found my short haired female hamster curled up in a ball in her clump of old towels she used as a bed.I've had her for 2 years and she had food and water so I figured old age and died in her sleep...I just went to bury her today.When I picked her up with a paper towel a greenish gray fluid soaked through where i was touching her.I flipped her over,saw what looked like a bit of blood around her mouth and I think tail.There was a redish green gray wet lump on her hind leg and it also looked like I had pulled fur off her body even though I delecately picked her up cause it looked like an area of her body was bare(grayish yet moist). I have NO idea what happened she was a healthy active hammy with food/water and wheel and wooden chewy sticks even thoough she barely chewed on them.
