I need to write a persuasive, problem-solution speech on pretty much any topic. I think I want to do it on drunk driving (obviously I am against it) but is it maybe too over-done? I really need a topic because it's due in 2 days :/
Please help!
Update:**I want to do drinking and driving because it's something that has personally effected me and my family. It is something I feel very strongly about, but I don't want to bore others because it's been done so many times before.**

One way to solve the problem of drunk driving is to actually do something about it. In America, most "anti drunk driving" organizations, such as MADD, do little, if anything against drunk driving. Their true focus is people under 21 drinking, which is harmless. I know about 15 drunk drivers (all over 21 and all of which have been in accidents yet all retain the right to not only drink but drive as well!) Talk about the issue of drunk driving and why America, despite having the highest drinking age in the world, also has the highest DUI rate! Things that could help end drunk driving would be MANDATORY IID's in all convicted drunk drivers cars to prevent drunks from driving, and banning the sale of alcohol to people who have actually been convicted of drunk driving, rather than people you assume will drink and drive because they are not 21! There is one state (I believe it is Minnesota) that actually does ban those who received DUI's from drinking. The problem is you need to have received 3 (YES THREE) DUI's in order to actually be prohibited from drinking, then you get a restricted license with "NO ALCOHOL" on it! Imagine that! Three shots at killing someone before they take away your right to drink!
Well, there is the ever popular texting while driving.
Edit a day or so later: Well then do the drunk driving but think of some new solutions or at least solutions we haven't heard a million times.
Some real radical ones might be loss of license until 21 for any alcohol offense at all (any detectable amount of alcohol) for minors.
Ignition interlocks for all under age drives and any driver who has had a DUI for life (interlocks are little breathalyzers you have to blow on in order to start the car.)
