I'm looking for QUICK lunches i can whip up before bed and stick in the fridge for the next day. I'm in high school so that means i have to have my lunch sitting in my locker for roughly 4 and half hours. I really don't want to eat just the same pb&j everyday, so any ideas? :)
Update:And the most disposable the better...containers i need to take back home are not ideal. Thanks in advance for the help :)

Give the kids bagels - you can get them in packs of five from the supermarket or make sandwiches but have different things in them each day. Jars of peanut butter, jelly and chocolate spread don't go off quickly and are tasty and filling. Other fillings are tinned tuna which is very healthy and not too exspensive or spreadable cheese which has a longer best before date than normal cheese. Yogurt, apples, chips, pretzels are great snacks for lunchboxes as are grapes, berries and boxes of raisins. Juice wise get them all their own waterbottles and let them have what they want in it each day which is a cheaper option than buy individual cartons. BTW you sound like an awesome mom :)
Get one of those little lunchboxes you can stick in the freezer so it keeps your food cool throught the day such as the "packit". See www.packit.com. That way you can keep lunch meats, egg or tuna salads, milk and cereals, etc cool and expand your options! You would have to tote the packit, but it folds up and you can stick it in a backpack or purse.
there are packs of individual servings of hummus and pretzels which i enjoy with my lunch, accompanied by a pepperoni and salami sandwich and normally some apple slices or potato chips. sometimes ill go with some string cheese or trail mix. I prefer healthy food options tho
Ham sandwiches with: a bottle of juice or water, cookies or yogurt, any extra sidings
granola bars? maybe?
when i was losing weight my lunch everyday was two rice cakes and a zero calorie energy drink, or sometimes an apple... fruit is pretty filling and can stay in a locker....
