Yes there is a really big Story...and a good one from what i here...your a "Dragon Born"(a person with a dragons soul) you can speak with dragons, get very powerful spells that speak the words of the dragons that only you and dragons can use...from what i here, the main quest is to find out why the dragons have come back to life... If your a fan of Sandbox games...GTA (but with swords, bows, and magic....AND DRAGONS!!!) get this game..this is the game i am waiting for the most...if i could just make Skyrim come out right now and have MW3...BF3 not come out tell next here...i would be fine with that...O and the story of this game isnt even going to be the best part...the best part with be the side quest...that have just as much in-depth story...
The Elder Scroll games always have really strong and deep story modes. There are a lot of missions and quests to do, and there are also huge worlds to explore. I found the other games suspenseful and entertaining.

The whole thing is a story mode, I don't think any elder scrolls games have multi-player. They are all very entertaining and long stories.
The whole series play alike, It is single player, there is a story along with lots of mini quests and guilds.
its a sandbox game.....so there is only a singleplayer mode, but you do NOT have to follow the storyline, thats the beauty of sandbox games :)
Play Oblivion and figure it out.
