So I'm moving to England next year and I was wondering if there were any nice beaches there. I'm from Michigan which has some gorgeous beaches and then I lived on the California coast for over a year so I've seen some amazing beaches. So I was wondering if there were nice beaches since the whole country is one big island. Particularly on the southern or eastern coasts since I'll be living in Suffolk. And as a side question is it always as rainy as I hear it is?

Suffolk lies on the North Sea, so I'm sure you can find some beaches over there. Many coastal towns are there like Corton, Lowestoft, Reydon, Leiston, Aldeburgh and Felixtowe. I would recommend the last one however. And yes, it is rainy over there. During the last year, rain or snow fell in 210 days of the year accounting for about 57% of the period. The best month is March with 23% chance of rain while the worst is April with 83% chance of rain. The summer months of June, July and August got high chances of rain as well as December.
Suffolk is in eastern England where rainfall is comparatively low compared with the rest of the country. There will be quite a few grey cloudy days. The answer above details beaches in Suffolk. In southern england I'd particularly suggest the Jurassc Coast in Dorset, which is a World Heritage site.
