Euchre and geography?
Here in good ole Michigan everyone plays euchre. When I travel, however, I find that it's a less popular or even unknown game, especially on the west coast. If you're a euchre player, where do you live, and what areas have you encountered in which no one plays this glorious game?

I am a native New Yorker who moved to Michigan and I had never heard of euchre until I came here. I still don't play it, but I think it is definitely a Michigan thing.
I'm from southern Illinois orig. and a few people played euchre there. I know that when I was active in Yahoo euchre that a huge majority of euchre players were from michigan, indiana and the toronto area. Now, I live in Maryland and I don't think many people out here know how, I haven't found anybody yet that does anyway.
I'm from southern Indiana and euchre is big around here. I lived in Tennessee for a few years and no one had heard of it.
