Kind of hard to answer this without having read the entire work. I would say though that it sounds as if " hey we're all laed to believe what people want us to belive" type of thing and that books (maybe a biblical reference) were written to explain things that we can't use sensory actions to understand.

oh i had to read that book for school too! the main theme is censorship. we did a whole report on it because the censorship is in how they hide things. they don't let the public read books, they do not really appreciate people who speak against it. i think though, that you should read "between the lines" of the book, you'll see that.
