Famous designer brand outfits? Discount!?

My mom's birthday is coming up and her and my dad are going out to eat for dinner. I have been saving up to buy her the best gift ever so she can look her best that night. I have about $900. I wanted to buy her a designer dress with some matching shoes and some other accessories. Does anyone know where I can buy designer brand things like this at a discount and what designer brand should I be looking at where I don't have to spend much more than $900?

ralph lauren is always classy and chic try lord and taylor with shoes by jessica simpson or coach or victoria secret,

saks 5th bergdorf goodman is prety pricey check it out online u can order stuff from there too, guilt groupe has designer stuff at disounts check it out theres a website designer like marc jacobs and stuff liek that..... vera wang or nicole miler would be prob better designers they are more age appropriate for ur mom.

you are JUST in luck, Nordstroms is having their anniversary sale this week which puts overly expensive designer goods at 40-60 percent off.

I say with that budget, Michael by Michael Kors, or BCBG Max Azria are great. Both are both really famous designers worn by stars, and are really classy, comfortable, and well made:

I think if you're spending hte most money in one area, it should be in shoes/bags, because she can wear those on a daily/regular basis, especially if they're classy and simple.

With the dress, you should keep it classy, but still fun, because birthdays should be to celebrate youth-ness, not how old they're getting :) (trust me on this one.. BAD experieince! :D).

If you're mom's more conservative/older, than i;d go with the michael kors. The dress itself is very conservative, but still flattering, and well designed, while the shoes add that extra pizzaz to them, and the bag will work with ANY outfit.

The BCBG is great if your mom likes something more fun, flirty and young, and the shoes are simple, so she can wear those time and time again, and same with the bag.
