I was watching Dr. Oz the other day and he stated that taking 125 mg of Feverfew a day can help migraines.
I went to Vitamin World, Vitamin Shoppe, GNC, two local drugstores, and the websites to Swanson Health, Puritan's, and Dee Cee Labs - nobody carries 125 mg of this stuff. The physical stores only carry 380 mg. One of the websites I went on had 225 but they're capsules so they cannot be split in half.
I even tried emailing Dr. Oz via his website, asking where he's found 125 mg Feverfew but still have not gotten a reply.
Does anybody take Feverfew for migraines/headaches? What mg and from where? Has it helped?
Also, Dr. Oz didn't mention if it should be "standardized" or not. Does it matter?
Thanks!

I am a migraine sufferer too. I get a migraine about every two weeks, and nothing really helped. All this over the counter pills didn't do anything to me and I don't really want to take prescription medicine.
But now I found a natural combination what really helps me. I started to take Feverfew tincture, 3 times a day. I am doing this almost over two months now and I only had one migraine attack which went away after a few hours (Usually my migraine attacks did last for at least 2 days before). I am very happy because I really think it works. I heard you have to take feverfew over a longer time before it starts working. I don't know how many mg are in there but it is really strong. I also think tinctures are better anyways because they offer a more complete range of medicinal properties than dried herbs or capsules.
I also used an essential oil blend which is designed for migraine headaches. This is very relaxing too. Just put it on your temples and try to relax.
I found both remedies in this ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/Kerstins-Nature-Products
Gail, do you think I'm trying to sell feverfew? I was trying to find out where to get it and how much of it to take. If I were selling it, I would know the answers.
Do you sell this stuff or something? Cause this kind of sounds like a plug for feverfew.
