Find errors in specific website files?

I have a website online that's mainly built up on PHP and consists of 40,000-something files.

When using the W3 Validator tool to find errors in my code, it produces around 20 errors and shows which line is the problem but it doesn't say in which file (PHP, TPL etc.). I tried using software called Agent Ransack to search the contents of the files but even that can't find the code.

Is there any way I can find out exactly which file is containing the code with errors?

Update:

It's index.php uses a ref to index.tpl as does every other part of the site.

Like, the .php file tells the website to load XYZ functions that are loaded in the tpl file, it's a way of keeping the code more simple but as a result, there's a lot more files.

The WebScript isn't my own work. It's based on a dating CMS called osDate.
